Top five in the UK for construction company

A North East construction company has been named as one of the top employers nationally – for the second year running.

Gentoo Construction, which employs over 600 staff at offices and sites across the region, has been included in Building Magazines Good Employers Guide 2009 and placed in the top five in the UK in three categories.

The company was given a special mention for achieving the highest ever score in any category for Social Responsibility, which measures how seriously Gentoo takes its responsibility towards the safety of its staff, the betterment of the construction industry and the wider community.
